New Business
For the most part my client list has been closed for more than ten years. I do on occasion accept new business, but only when someone’s situation is dynamic enough that the consulting and tax services I bring to the table would be difficult for that person to find elsewhere.
I do not do hourly consulting, but I enjoy what I do, so will often chat with someone that has a particularly interesting situation for no charge. Not to be taken advantage of, but rather because when talking with somebody for the first time, no matter how intelligently we discuss the situation, we often later discover that a better solution for the problem could have been found by using another area of his financial situation, something he didn't mention because he didn't think it could possibly be relevant to the problem at hand.
It's different when speaking with my clients. They know me, and because I prepare their returns, I know their situations intimately. Also, in our previous discussions over the years they have learned a lot about the title law, tax law and contract law issues that pertain to their business. In those cases we often are able to come up with very satisfactory solutions or strategies in just a few minutes.
Based on the above, if you think I might be able to help, the easiest thing to do is to send me copies of your last two years of tax returns (business and personal) along with a cover letter explaining your concerns, etc. My email address is john@numericorp.com. After I get a chance to look at them, we can discuss the possibilities, prices, etc. There is generally no charge for this service.
